Mikko: feels good to get on the road. Get to hang out with the new guys and really get to know them.

Anderson: What have you worked on since Lemaire said he wasn’t happy withe Saturday?

Mikko: Not a lot. We need some time to gel and get everything together. It’s good that we got the win, but we need to build on that.

Anderson: How are the new guys fitting in?

Mikko: They’re really helping us and hopefully we help them. As the season goes on it’ll get easier for everyone.

Anderson: When you have a lot of turnover, what’s the difference in the way this team will play?

Mikko: I’m not the GM, so it’s not up to me to figure out what they’re looking for. It’s nice to have some young guys with their energy, and the veterans will help us with their experience. Right now it’s going pretty well.

Anderson: How did it feel to get the C?

Mikko: It’s a great honor to be the captain of the Minnesota Wild. The way I look at, I get to be part of the guys who have worn it here so far.

Anderson: How have things changed with that?

Mikko: I’m just going to be myself. But it’s a bit of a challenge, being interviewed more often. But I like it.

Anderson: Do you set goals for a team after a season where you won the division? Number of wins? Further in the playoffs?

Mikko: It’s still early in the season. We want to find a way for us to play together and go from there. Of course, the first goal is to make the playoffs. From there, we go game by game. Work on things every day and play as well as we can. That’s the best way.

Anderson: What’s the report on Atlanta?

Mikko: We get to the rink tomorrow and see their players. Right now it’s just time to get some rest and go through the reports tomorrow.

Anderson: Good luck and thanks.

Mikko: Thank you.
