Gaborik to Montreal Speculation.
Credit to Yahoo.com Rumor Mill for this nugget of Information.
Guess we should all get used to this. Puck Daddy reader Rhett sent in a tip that Minnesota Wild fans were going berserk on the official boards because Marian Gaborik will miss tonight's game against the Florida Panthers with a "lower body injury." Because pending free agent who hasn't re-signed plus sudden scratch equals trade, of course. The insanity quickly spread to the Montreal Canadiens' HF Boards, because Saku Koivu wasn't in practice, either. While the idiocy of the Habs trading a center for a player like Gaborik wasn't enough to derail the rumor, the fact that Koivu is actually injured may do the trick. But again, never underestimate the HF Boards. You'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. And we mean that as a compliment.
Ace Star Tribune reporter Michael Russo asked GM Doug Risebrough about any ulterior motives to Gaborik's scratch, and Risebrough "swears he's injured.

Nah
Not straight up, but I wouldn’t mind talking with them. Maybe for both Kostitsyn boys.

Agreed
Straight up for Saku would blow. He’s no spring chicken. Of course, regardless of Gaborik’s age, he doesn’t seem to be much of a spring chicken either. I like the Habs, a trade with them would be fine with me. I really like Plekanec.
Grover Cleveland spanked me on two non-consecutive occasions.
