NOTES:

  • Hey, guess what?  Still no Gaborik!
  • Are we possibly seeing next season's second line center in Saku Koivu?
  • Saku Koivu will go head-to-head with younger brother Mikko of the Wild on Thursday for the third time in an NHL game. Saku has two assists in the two previous meetings while Mikko is scoreless in those contests.

Questions to Answer

  1. Can they shake off the hangover?
  2. Which AK will have the better night?
  3. Will Josh Harding continue building on a decent outing?
  4. Can anyone outside the AMA line produce any pressure at all?
  5. Will Alexei Kovalev's hair prove to be the difference maker we all know it can be?

Terrible goal

1-1 tie.

Boullion scores for the Habs

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:13 PM CDT reply actions

Bad play by Clutterbuck

Horrible mistake by Clutterbuck led to that goal. He tried to make a huge hit, lost his footing, lost his stick, and his man was able to keep the play alive.

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:16 PM CDT reply actions

Wild PP

2:00 minor on Kostopolous.

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:19 PM CDT reply actions

Ouch

Miettinen just got RUN at center-ice. He groggily gets off the ice. No word yet.

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:20 PM CDT reply actions

Man, Montreal is fast. They are really fun to watch.

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:22 PM CDT reply actions

Miettinen back on the ice. WOW, huge stop by Harding there. Probably shouldn’t have been a loose puck, but he made a good recovery less than 5 seconds ago from web

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:23 PM CDT reply actions

I see why Boogaard was a healthy scratch tonight. He would have been useless out here. These guys are WAY too fast

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:25 PM CDT reply actions

Oh man, Pouliot needs to put that one home!

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:26 PM CDT reply actions

Man

Once again, the AMA line is putting on all the pressure. They need Gabby in a big way.

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:28 PM CDT reply actions

Brent Burns has swapped with Mojzis. Burns will be playing forward and Mojzis back at D

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:29 PM CDT reply actions

Wild penalty. 2:00 bench minor for too many men on the ice

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:30 PM CDT reply actions

Burns on D for PK in addition to his forward duties tonight.

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:32 PM CDT reply actions

Uh-oh. Burns took a shot off the instep. He hobbles off the ice. Not.Good

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:34 PM CDT reply actions

Now Kostoplous took a shot and is limping, but he can’t get off the ice.

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:35 PM CDT reply actions

1:00 remaining in the first period. 1-1.

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:37 PM CDT reply actions

Wild PP

MON – 19:15, S. Koivu (holding the stick – 2 min)

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 7:39 PM CDT reply actions

Held Mikko’s stick, not Brunette’s. Saku has no chance to stop Mikko, he’s WAY too big and strong.

Belanger waited too long. Bad shot on the breakaway

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 8:57 PM CDT reply actions

Seriously, this team is in dire need of another line.

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 9:02 PM CDT reply actions

10:00 left in regulation. Canadiens still lead 2-1. No sign of offense in the third by the Wild.

Wild lose 2-1. Not a good showing my Minnesota. This game proves exactly why they need to get Marian Gaborik back on the ice.

by nathaneide on Oct 30, 2008 9:25 PM CDT reply actions
