NOTES:
- Wild seek their eighth consecutive victory over the Phoenix Coyotes.
- Marian Gaborik and Owen Nolan are not on the trip
- Tom Lynn said Gaborik will be re-evaluated next week. The team had Gaborik skate Thursday on a trial basis, but it was determined that more rest is required.
- Antti Miettinen missed Friday’s practice with a "lower body" injury. He is probable against the Coyotes.
- Mikko Koivu was named captain for November. One small step toward permanency.
- This road trip for the Wild will be about trying to unearth secondary scoring to help the Andrew Brunette-Mikko Koivu-Antti Miettinen line. When the line scores a goal, the Wild wins (5-0, including a shootout win on Miettinen's goal). In the three games it's been blanked, the Wild is 1-2-1.
Questions to Answer
- Will Ed Jovanovski continue his otherworldly performances against the Wild tonight? That dude has owned us.
- Will anyone not named Antti, Andrew or Mikko shoot tonight?
- Can special teams bounce back?
- Can they put their foot on the throat of an overmatched team?
- How much do Rick Tocchet and Janet Gretzky have riding on tonight's game?
