NOTES:

  • This is the first trip to San Jose since Kurtis Foster had his leg broken.
  • Nolan, Burns, and Mojzis are all listed as day-to-day. Gaborik is on injured reserve and has missed eight straight games.
  • Lemaire says this league is made up of Detroit and San Jose, then everybody else.
  • The Sharks haven't lost to the Wild since a 4-1 defeat at home on Oct. 21, 2006
  • Krys Kolanos' equipment and sticks didn’t show up from Houston, so he couldn’t practice
  • NHL All-Star ballots are now available. Gaborik, Koivu, Burns and Backstrom are all on the ballot. Go stuff the box!

Questions to Answer

  1. Lemaire conceded the game already. Did the team?
  2. Can the team stay healthy tonight?
  3. Will the Wild put the Power back in power play?
  4. Is it possible for half of the shots tonight to be generated by someone not named Antti, Andrew or Mikko?
  5. Can Kolanos make an impact tonight? He has the touch in Houston so far.

NHL All Star Ballots, Winter Classic

Usually I really don’t pay attention to the All Star Game stuff, but this year for some reason I’m strangely super excited for all of it. I reaaaaally want to see Mikko make the roster this year, and Backs definitely has a BIG shot at goalie. But do you think that Gabby still has a shot at garnering enough votes if he continues to not play??

:side note: make sure you vote for Spezza for the East :-)

And the Winter Classic jerseys have been released. They’re too perfect for words. And I want to go to the game, but we have one the night before here, and the NYE game is one of the best of the year…decisions, decisions.
