NOTES:

  • Vancouver rookie goaltender Cory Schneider (3.24  GAA / .889 save %) is still looking for his first NHL win. He’s 0-2 lifetime.
  • The Canucks look to prevent a fifth consecutive loss for the first time in almost three years
  • The Canucks have gone 1-4-0 without Luongo
  • Mikko Koivu is 4-6 for 10 points in this 6 game scoring streak.

Questions to Answer

  1. With no Luongo, and Sanford pulled last night, can the Wild jump on the third Canuck keeper they've faced this season?
  2. Will they build on a strong showing against St. Louis?
  3. Will the Sedin's telepathy once again destroy the Wild chance of winning?
  4. Does Mikko keep it up again? Is his back hurting from carrying the team?
  5. Will the Wild lead the Northwest after tonight?

Kesler v. Sheppard. What a weak fight. What is Sheppard doing?

Alex Burrows takes a stick to the gut. Too bad it wasn’t PMB who did it to him. Burrows sucks.

Owen Nolan caught an edge and went down in a heap. He’s hobbling to the locker room.

Love the fact that Ohlund still gets booed every time he touches the puck.

Wild do not have an even strength shot on goal yet, and there’s 3:10 left in the first. ICK.

End of 1. 1-0 Canucks

Burns jumped from behind and Veilleux tripped after the whistle. I hate Vancouver. Shocking that it was Burrows who took the cheapshot after the horn

This was not a good first period. Luckily they’re only down 1-0.

SHocking, Boogaard doesnt’ get a call when he gets his feet kicked out from under him. That’s a cheapshot by Mitchell

by nathaneide on Dec 5, 2008 9:07 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Pathetic

Mitchell tries to get three guys to fight Boogaard, then Burns goes toe to toe with Jaffray, and Jaffray is lucky he didn’t lose consciousness.

by nathaneide on Dec 5, 2008 9:11 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Boogaard gets a roughing and 10 minute misconduct for getting jumped by three guys. Fucking ridiculous.
The refs want to get Boogaard off the ice just because people are attacking him. That’s ridiculous.
Absolutely uncalled for. Boogaard gets run, gets hit, gets slashed and nothing happens to Mitchell????

Wild PP

Penalty coming on Pyatt. Hooking PMB.
