Wild lose big to Capitals, fall further behind in the conference

Wild 1, Capitals 4

The Minnesota Wild got spanked playing the Washington Capitals on the road, losing 1-4. I admit I didn’t watch the whole game, but I saw highlights on the news and it appeared that the Wild just weren’t ready for the energized Washington Capital team. I see our friend Aaron Voros sat in the box for two major fights. I saw Voros take down David Steckel on the news highlights, how I love the local media. A good hockey fight always leads off sports coverage this time of year, especially in the great hockey wilderness of Minnesota.

I am thinking that Voros is feeling a little threatened by his position of tough guy on the Minnesota Wild team after the Wild snagged my new favorite thug, Chris Simon. Voros was fighting like he had something to prove. Hmmmm.....Let’s just see what Simon can bring to the table that maybe Voros couldn’t do by himself.
