Minnesota Wild beat Los Angeles Kings

Wild 2, Kings 1, OT

All those cheap Minnesota Wild tickets for the Wild vs Kings game must have shook the Minnesota Wild because they played terribly against a terrible team (sorry Kings fans). The Wild did manage to win in overtime when Marin Skoula chipped in the shot just in time. It was amazing to me that Marian Gaborik passed the puck to Skoula, I have been complaining all year that Gaborik doesn’t pass enough.

Mikko Koivu was a late scratch due to the flu and again I am wondering if anyone gets a flu shot anymore. Eric Belanger picked up the slack, though. Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom was the real star of the game and showed he could be counted on i.e. no soft goals, but the Wild really need to start scoring early and often if they think they will advance in the playoffs.
