Chris Simon goes to Russia

When the Wild signed Chris Simon I did not jump on the, “why do we need this thug?” bandwagon. I actually thought Simon might be an intimidating player on the ice which would be an essential component to a Wild playoff progression, but that didn’t pan out and it seems Doug Riseborough’s inability to sign a solid player before the trade deadline last year is going to continue to haunt this Minnesota Wild team since Chris Simon signed with Russia next year. How’s that for a run on sentence?!? I refuse to correct it, the single Chris Simon sentence says it all – 1. Simon should have been a more dominant force with the Wild, 2. Doug Riseborough screwed up in the trade and 3. Chris Simon shouldn’t be in the NHL.

Good Luck Chris Simon. If the Russia thing doesn’t pan out, you could always join that Ultimate Fighting Championship thing.
