Cal Clutterbuck Out; Petr Sykora Doubtful; Derek Boogaard Practices

Per the Wild's twitter:

Cal Clutterbuck (ankle) to go on IR, to return to Minnesota Tuesday for tests. Full coverage soon on Wild.com.

Petr Sykora "doubtful" for Wednesday's game vs. Ducks but remains with team on this trip. Sykora not on ice today

He's back on the ice! Derek Boogaard has rejoined the team after a concussion.

Look for the Wild to not add anyone to the roster today, since they don't play until Wednesday, and they don't want to take the cap hit until then. After that, I would assume Hilbert, Kalus, Gillies are on the shortlist.

So, not only did the first week go horribly for the team in the record column, but now they're laid up as well. Lovely.

1st week

first week impression, the slow starts are becoming killers ,I think I’m looking at a top 8 West Conference team but not a serious Cup contender ,just my opinion several other teams didn’t start off great either ,Canucks are definitely one team and so are the Flyers ,yes the first 2 games they played great ,got a win versus Caps in a no defense is played game ,looked very ordinary in a loss v Penguins and coughed up 2 goal lead v Ducks ,slow starts are killers but I expect Wild to be playing into May ,possibly.

Not too excited

About this season already but I know it’s early. Let’s just hope we are still in it by January

For the record

I am expecting to not make the playoffs this year. As we all should. I think they tank it in the first half, then play back towards respectibility in the second half. It will just take that long to build the chemistry and get the players situated in the system.
