Being from the iron range..I hate those high school matchups...

It should be a more classic Minnesota Rivalry for the early game like a Hibbing-Virginia or Hibbing-Grand Rapids or Duluth East-Duluth Marshall..the fact that we have to have Northern Teams play southern teams on that day on the boys side is absolutely preposterous…and I have nothing against the Southern Teams…But atleast if your going to have a southern team come..have two southern teams that are a big rivalry square off and then have a big northern rivalry..like the few I mentioned..that define the history of Hockey in this state…Pathetic job by FSN getting this together.

Disagree

I love the fact that they have teams who don’t normally play each other face-off. These give the viewing audience a chance to see more teams and should provide for great games.

Tony.. the games are a classic north vs south match up which is fun for some of the fans… and should have good tv ratings.. which unfortunately are a part of the tv thing..
but.. I agree.. there should be a game broadcast from the Hippodrome in Eveleth, The arena in Hibbing, and the arena in International Falls.. for starters.. hounds vs hilltoppers at the Decc, and the classic iron range matchups like greenway vs virginia.. and many more.. I’d love to see them all! I guess we can try to email anthony lapanta at Fsn and tell him what we’d like to see… if enough fans bring it up.. Im sure they would try to make it happen… him and kevin gorg are true hockey fans, and they’d like to see games like the ones you mentioned as well.. Have a great day!
Enjoy the season! Peace Y’all :)
