Marian Gaborik Out

Yeah, yeah, we all saw this coming. According to John Tortorella, Marian Gaborik is out for tonight's return to Xcel Energy Center. I guess it's not horribly surprising, but now I can't say "I told you" to all the Anti-Gaby rubes out there.

Well, he's still outperforming anyone in Iron Range Red.

In addition, Sean Avery and Christopher Higgins are also out.

Not very surprising.

It would have been interesting to see him playing against us, though. In a sad sort of way.

NYer here, and Ranger fan

Went to the Twin Cities twice this past year (February/March/May). Went to the arena but there were no home games the time I was there in Feb/March. Ate at Cosetta’s though, hahaha.

Anyway, I followed Gabby since last year, and I have friends out there who are obviously Wild fans. I lobbied for him on July 1st (not literally) and was ecstatic we signed him.

I am very convinced that after his corrective surgery, his hip/groin is fine, and am not worried about his newest injury. Its been ruled minor and hes very close to coming back.

I almost flew out for this game too. Glad I didnt.

but...

you have to admit, most people are expecting it to be hip/groin, which its actually not.

Its actually a contacy injury, knee-to-knee.

Going to the game tonight

I can’t say this surprises me, but I have to admit that I was kind of looking forward to seeing him play.

You can't spell Gaborik without IR

Hoping with Gabby out of the lineup we can maybe go 4-9 tonight.

Oh well...

He is one of the best players when healthy, and I can honestly say I wish he was still here playing 50 games a year, but this team will be fine, probably not this year but when the draft comes around and we dump some of our salary waste we should attract talent with Lemaire being gone now!
