Any Chance???
Has there been any talk or petitions about changing the name of the Wild? Their colors? Jerseys? They are horrid. I was at the Capitals v. Wild game last week and it certianly did the Caps a body good by completely redesigning that franchise around it's old roots. Not to mention there was just as many North Stars gear as there was Wild. The "Wild" have the worst name and jerseys in sports. What are the Wild "wild" about anyway?

Wild jerseys
The Wild home red sweater was recently voted the best jersey in the NHL – maybe by Puck Daddy? Also – Wild and the Red Wings are consistently numbers one and two in annual merchandise sales. If you’ve ever been to the X for a game – it’s clear that a lot of people love the Wild’s jerseys. Tons of fans in red sweaters and more and more are buying the new green sweater. I don’t think redesigning their look is going to help their performance on the ice.

The red jerseys have been voted by several writers and groups as the best in the NHL, at least for recent jerseys. Usually the Original Six are voted best jersey. The new thirds have also been praised widely.
While I respect your opinion, and see where you are coming from, you are in a small minority. Fans of other teams seem to be more likely to hate the name or the jerseys, but Wild fans seem to be in favor. So no, it likely does not change.
Not to mention the fact that I don’t think they can just change their name because they want to.

Espn’s Uniwatch always calls the Wild the best dressed team in sports. The Red home jerseys are one of the best in the league and the green 3rd jerseys are becoming more and more popular.
I am sure alot of people would like to see the old “N” north star jersey but that’s never going to happen because this is a completely different franchise.
