Questions to Answer

  1. Minnesota is playing well, or at least well enough to win, can they keep it up and get ahead of the Canucks tonight in the standings?
  2. Can the Wild keep the Sedin's off the board?
  3. How will Josh Harding look in place of Niklas Backstrom?
  4. Will Havlat continue to be on the 4th line all game, or will he move up if they are playing well, perhaps moving Sheppard down to the 4th?
  5. Vancouver has been injured all season, but now that they're finally healthy, can they find some consistency?

The Caps / Leafs game was a great way to start HNIC

The Caps always throw me off having both Nicklas Backstrom and defensemen #55 Jeff Schultz.

While we're waiting for things to start...

Is there a worse looking jersey in the league than either the powder blue Penguins or Thrashers jersey?

by SpaethCo on Dec 12, 2009 9:06 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

I love the Powder Blue Penguins Jersey..

The Preds third Jersey’s are Atrocious

by TonyO on Dec 12, 2009 9:09 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

The Thrashers are bad

But the powder blue Pens might be the
best 3rds in the league. The worst might be the Panthers.

College Hockey Update

The Gophers beat Michigan Tech 3-2 to sweep the series tonight

Mavericks 3 Beavers 2 Final
Duluth 6 Denver 3 Final
CC 4 SCSU 1 Final
Wisco 4 Sioux 3 — huge fight at the end of the game; multiple 1:1s and maybe some players not playing next week (maybe). They still shake hands with WHCA official oversight.

Let's Go Wild!

Not that bad

They got a really good scoring chance — Mittens got robbed.

They’ve been worse.

UGH..another Nucks goal...Get Backstrom in there

Trade Harding…i trust Khaboudin more than Harding

by TonyO on Dec 12, 2009 9:43 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Not a good fit here at the moment. I imagine knowing that the team only needs you to play well so you up your trade value is tough. The trouble now is that the Wild can’t afford the goalie not keeping us in the game.

Let's Go Wild!

Damn.

Need to clear the zone there. Have I ever mentioned how much I dislike the Sedin’s… Burrows scores. 3-1 Nucks

Bad matchup there. Also Josh, you need to be ready for that puck…being you were already on that side.

Sorry, Hards, I love ya, but…

by Sean Zandberg on Dec 12, 2009 10:40 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Personally

I think if he’s used correctly he can be an asset. He’s big, draws penalties and can create problems in front of the net. Now, if he had better hands, it would be a much different story.

What about the diving call?

by Sean Zandberg on Dec 12, 2009 10:44 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

That was odd...

…stupid to fall, but not exactly the most flagrant dive in the history of dives.

by mbennett on Dec 12, 2009 10:47 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Meh, I think it should have been a “no call.” Or, as was said already, an interference and a dive (although, really, as I saw it, he just fell down—no intent to draw a penalty).

Let's Go Wild!

by redheadzeb on Dec 12, 2009 10:47 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Boogy is the least of my concern. I wonder if Jovocop would have felt like he was able to clock Ebett in the head had he known the Boogyman was there to go after his? That is his value, IMHO.
