Minnesota State High School Tournament Coverage

While we concentrate on the Wild and the NHL, obviously, many of us are huge fans of the state tournament and the WCHA. As such, we'll do some coverage of those tournaments as well.

To start, if you want to stream the Minnesota high school sectional finals, here's the link: http://preps.startribune.com/special.skateforstate09.php

Per the skate for state page:

-Live coverage of all 16 section championship games on March 4-6
-Live coverage from the Boys' State Hockey Tournament March 11-14 at the Xcel Energy Center
-Personalities include NHL veteran and former Gopher Reed Larson, Eric Gislason from Kent Hrbek Outdoors, Fox 9's Jim Rich, BOB-FM's Neil Freeman, 5-time state champion Jefferson coach Tom Saterdalen and Minnesota Sports Radio's Ryan Phelps, Mark Genosky and Darren "Doogie" Wolfson.

So, feel free to comment on the tournaments here!

best time of the year

ever since I was a little one.. I’ve loved the state hockey tournament. I can hardly wait!
If you think of the players who skated in it..the guys who moved on to College and/or the NHL, its amazing and something to be proud of. its just to bad we’ve hardly ever seen them play with the pro team in town..

WLKX in forest lake is 95.9 fm, not 95.5 fm

there is an error for minnesota sports online’s radio station list! WLKX is 95.9 fm from Forest Lake, they have it listed as 95.5 in error! They are providing radio coverage of hockey now, thru the state tourney!! tonight(3-5) they had the section 2AA and 6AA finals on! they will cover the coleseum games on 3-6! Blaine vs. Centennial & Stillwater vs Hill-Murray , enjoy, now that you know where to tune in.
