Tonight's lines:
|
Minnesota Wild |
Detroit Red Wings |
|
Miettinen - Koivu - Brunette |
Franzen - Datsyuk - Hossa |
NOTES:
- Cal Clutterbuck will be miked for the game.
- Detroit is 10-1-2 with Minnesota in their last 13 games.
- From Russo: "Jacques Lemaire talked at length today again about how proud he was that the team finally listened to the coaches and played the counterattack style he’s been begging for."
Questions to Answer
- Will the Wild play the kind of counter-attacking game they did against Calgary?
- Will the NBC coverage slant so heavily toward the Red Wings that we're all nauseous?
- Will Marian Gaborik show off on the national stage?
- With Detroit virtually cemented into the #2 slot, will they relax and give the Wild an easier game?
- Is today the day the season comes to an end?

Lose in Regulation today and its over
Win in Overtime or Shootout and we are tied for 8th….Win in regulation and we are 1 point out of 8th….LETS GO WILD!
RE: Lose in Regulation today and its over
Any Win at all and we are in tenth, a point out of 9th and and a point and a half out of eigth. Cannot move up in this game, only draw closer. Don’t mean to rain on the parade, but just being honest. But I do agree with, “LETS GO WILD!”
We are already in 10th with 83 points
if we win in OT or a shootout..which would be 3 points…we would be tied with both Nashville and St Louis who both have 86 points.
GOAL FOR CAL
Great player or greatest player?
We need to convert
on one of these chances.
The Run was fun this year...
Next year we won’t even be in Consideration for the playoffs without Gaborik.
Zidlicky F's up again
Were the Wild really in the game? It looked like an ant hill to me. A couple of offensive spurts to hold off the outcome, but mostly a bunch of missed passes, messy changes, etc. Owen Nolan didn’t look like his old self, not very aggressive towards the puck. And no, I am not surprised at all that Zidlicky screwed the pooch again. Him, Bergeron, and Yaaawnnson can hit the road.
I sure was hoping Tuesdays game was going to be for something.
