Rammer, Constantine or out of house?
Well with the fat lady warming up, I was curious to get everyone's opinion on the coaching change that is hopefully coming. Do you think they will give Mike Ramsey a shot? Bring Kevin Constatine up from Houston? Whichever does not get it will probably start looking elsewhere, or they could both leave if The Wild goes out the org. for a coach. I like Ramsey and think the Wild will probably give it to him, DR wanting to "stay the course". I worry that he would try to continue what Lemaire is doing, but who knows. Whatever they do I hope they make the decision fast, so that the new guy has a chance to get himself set up as much as possible.

Frankly
I’m not sure a coaching change is as necessary as a GM change.
If I were changing coaches, I’d go with either Mike Ramsey or Todd Richards. I’d stay as far away from Kevin Constantine as possible.
If I were changing GMs, I’d go for Bowman the younger in Chicago.

Can we nix the stupid idea of a coaching change? It’s bad enough that I’m almost certain Jacques will retire.
If they’re changing coaches, I hire outside the organization after I hire a new GM.

I would like to see a new GM as well.
Actually at a sister site, CannisHoopus, they have a series on GM candidates for the T-Wolves. It might not be a bad Ideal to do something similer here. I want a GM change for 2 reasons.
1. Risebrough has shown an inability to deal well with FA. He waits too long to work on our own FA, wich lost us Rolston, and cost us more money then we would have needed to give if we had extended Backs during last offseason. Gabby will be going next season and we will get nothing for him. Also, he seems unable to lure star FA here. Look at Hossa in Detroit. He turned down more money from us (one of the few instinces when we actually offered more money).
2. Draft. He has traded away too meny draft picks for marginal or replacement level talent. now we have only 1 pick in the first 4 rounds! We have almost no tradeable assets, and almost nothing in the Minors to step up to replace or push the guys we have in the majors. And no one with the potential to replace Gabby’s production when he leaves next year.
It is time for a new direction, and that means a new GM!

Not to say I’m backing up DR here, but if you’re not doing squat with the draft picks in the first place, you might as well deal them off for good players.
Of course, DR wasn’t doing that either so… There you go.

Don't get me wrong
If it were up to me they would both be gone. Even if DR had been perfect in his player movements, he deserves to get the axe for just keep Jacques around. Lemaire is most likely done and a couple seasons too late. The game has passed him by. I can’t stand to watch another season of try to get one goal and then, eliminate any forecheck, not to mention allowing other teams to physically dominate your talented players and All Star Goalie, without retaliation. It all starts with the coach and trickles down.
To be totally honest, I would love to see the entire org., including the front office, scrapped down to Burns, Koivu, Cal and Backstrom, and rebuild from there.

But those players should
A) help you make/go far in the playoffs
and
B) be better then replacement level players.
otherwise you keep you picks. the most successful teams have a deep minor league systems.

Constantine
I would definitely give Constantine the nod. He plays a defense oriented system like Jacque, but there’s more offensive flow in his system. I could definitely see Shep taking off in a system like that.
