Dave Tippett in the running to be Wild coach?

Dave Tippett is a solid bet to be next Wild coach. I'm told he's interviewing w/ the team this weekend. Richards, Laviolette also in running - James Mirtle

I can't say this would be a horrible decision. Tippett clearly had success in Dallas, making the playoffs 5 out of 5 years, though losing in the first round three years in a row. That being said, do we really want another re-tread, or would they be better off starting completely from scratch?

Dave Tippett is probably the best of the bunch of available, experienced coaches.

I would also say he’s far from a re-tread. He was not fired because of a bad season last year (although it was a disappointing), he was fired because the team had a new GM and a new direction.

Tippett will bring immediately hard work and dedication to your team, and you will see the results immediately. I think he’d be a great fit for your team and your system.
