Kurtis Foster follows Veilleux

According to the Tampa Bay Lighting Twitter account:

The Tampa Bay Lightning have agreed to terms with former Minnesota Wild defenseman Kurtis Foster

Foster leaves the Wild after missing most of last season due to rehab from a broken leg suffered in the previous season. Foster has a cannon of a slap shot, though it missed its mark more times than not. He joins Stephane Veilleux and Wes Walz as former Wild players to join the Lighting organization.

Good bye Fozzy. Thanks for the memories. You will certainly be missed.

This one hurts

I’m very disappointed in the decision to not keep Foster around. He would have been a good third pairing guy, and is always solid on the power play.

Best of luck in Tampa.

Agreed.

It’ll be interesting to see how he comes back this next season. I’ll be getting my money’s worth out of Center Ice this year with all the teams I want to track now.
