Wild Third Jersey Photos Leaked

We know that the Wild will be showing off their new alternate third jerseys at the Minnesota State Fair on August 30th, but brilliant hockey logo and jersey dedicated website Icethetics has photos of the new duds and the key word to remember here is "green."

Hmm...interesting.

The red home jerseys are still far and away my favorite.

Nice!

I’m still a huge fan of the iron range red, but we were due for a classy looking green jersey to come back.

I love the little star on Minnesota. Nice little homage to the North Stars. Being a Dallas Stars fan, I love it.

A little “boring” but then I wasn’t a big fan of the red’s when they first appeared and now I own 2 of them. We’ll see on this one.

BLATENT RIP OFF

Hope nobody got paid for this one. What a rip off of the Gophers jersey (http://www.gopherhockeyhistory.com/history/jerseys/60s/6972RoadFront.asp). Too “collegiate” for my tastes. They could have been a bit more original – I mean, this is the NHL!!

That's kind of the point of the theme this season

They Wild are paying tribute to the history of hockey in the state this season (moreso than usual). They’re giving away patches at the following games:

October 21 – Patch to commemorate the first NHL game in the state between the NorthStars and Oakland Seals
November 8 - First pro exhibition game between the Minneapolis Millers (AHA) and the Blackhawks in 1926
December 20 – Commemorating the 1926 winter classic between the St Paul Saints vs Minneapolis
January 23 – 4th annual Hockey Day MN
February 18 – First recorded hockey game in the state, U of MN vs Winnipeg Victorias in 1895

And at a game I can’t find the date for, they’ll be giving out patches to commemorate the Boys & Girls State Hockey Tournament established in 1945.

Maybe I'm too old for this

I may be old school in my opinion, but these are instantly my favorite jerseys for this squad. They are simple and classy. It brings me back to a time when Minnesota was represented in the NHL by an entertaining style of play. They are perfectly illustrative of the changes this team went through this past offseason. Good job Wild.

And for those complainers, it could be worse. They could look like the Vikes jerseys.

I love the new look. Real classy!

Not bad...

I was expecting much worse. I’m glad it’s just the third jersey, though.

3rd jersey

Hmmm, those look a LOT like the western conference jerseys sported when all star weekend was at the X.
