Wild Go Green With New 3rd Jerseys

When news broke that the Minnesota Wild would have a new alternate jersey that they would wear starting this coming season, I immediately got excited. I wanted them to be green, similar to the old green jerseys that the Wild used to wear. I also wanted these jerseys to have a logo on them instead of just words, and I also wanted a cool design to go with these jerseys. The thought of a 3rd jersey always makes me eager to see the final product.

I grew more and more anxious and wanting to know more about these new jerseys. The anticipation grew with each passing day. I wanted the jerseys to be green, similar to the old green jerseys that the Wild used to wear. I also wanted them to have a logo on them instead of just words, and I also wanted a cool design to go with these jerseys. At first, I thought that I would have to wait until training camp started to see them. The Wild later announced that they would unveil their new threads on August 30th at the Minnesota State Fair. I didn't really want to wait any longer and I began looking on message boards and a few other places, dying for a sneak peak. I could have easily waited 6 more days and gone to the Great Minnesota Get-together. Now I don't have to do that, because now here they are thanks to a leaked photo from the people at Icethetics.

Thank you people at Icethetics!! You have made my day with this picture! These look better than I thought they would look when I first read a description of them. There are only a few minor tweaks that I would make to this to make it look better. First off, lose the piping around the shoulders. It's not necessary on this jersey, or any jersey for that matter. It's like having numbers on the front of the jersey when there are numbers on the sleeves and back of the jersey. Another thing that I would change is to have more red on this jersey, in particular, the star dot on the 'i" would look better in red. The color of the gloves should be changed as well since they don't go with the jersey at all. And something has to be done about the pants, like some kind of stripes going down the sides to go with the jersey. Now put some awesome shoulder patches on there and it will look even better, maybe even be the best 3rd jerseys in the league.

I'm anti RBK Edge jersey, but I would get one of these jerseys. It's an improvement over this, almost as good as this and this, and better than this in my opinion. I rarely say anything good about an RBK Edge jersey, but this jersey is awesome. Maybe it's a little homerish of me since I'm from Minnesota, but I don't lie when it comes to a jersey. The Minnesota Wild will wear these jerseys for the first time in the 2009-10 season on October 21st when they battle the Colorado Avalanche at Xcel Energy Center... the final score could be 3-2 ;).

Found this video as well... hilarious!!
