Umm ... I have no idea what to say, other that this:

Questions to Answer

  1. Who are these guys?
  2. What can we possibly take away from Todd Richards' first game with this roster?
  3. Will Petr Kalus and Benoit Pouliot find new life with a new coach and GM?
  4. Why is St. Louis taking this game this seriously?
  5. How effing happy are you that hockey is back???

Interesting lineup

It’s an early test. See if any of these guys can hang with an NHL team. If not, they’ll be sent to Houston ASAP. No need teaching the kids the new system if they can’t play in it yet. Let them learn it in Houston.

I'll tell you why they're taking it seriously

The team leaves for Sweden at the end of the month. One exhibition game and then two with the Dead Things. So they need to get up to speed and make some roster decisions rather quickly.

3-1 Final

We’ll take the 34 shots as a step in the right direction. Of course, if the Blues lost to the Houston Aeros, I’d be very concerned for St. Louis.

Probably about half the guys for the Wild are going to head to Houston after this one. Nice way to give them a taste of what it’s really about against a loaded up Blues lineup. 34 shots does look good and even better to see Pouliot get on the board.
