Daily Links: Boogaard scoring? Havlat sitting? Probert and Domi toe-picking?

Decrease in renewals imperils sellout streak | StarTribune.com
The NHL's longest active sellout streak is in danger of ending. "We have struggled to renew season tickets in the same way we always do, which is 95 percent plus," Wild Chief Operating Officer Matt Majka said.

Busy schedule means Wild will sit some players tonight - TwinCities.com
After signing top forward Petr Sykora of the Czech Republic to a one-year contract for $1.6 million Thursday, the Wild announced a lineup for the first home exhibition game at 7 tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets. On the ice for the Wild will be Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Brent Burns, Niklas Backstrom, Cal Clutterbuck, Derek Boogaard and Marek Zidlicky. Sitting out will be Mikko Koivu, Martin Havlat, Owen Nolan, Andrew Brunette, Kim Johnsson, Nick Schultz and Sykora.

Wild enforcer Boogaard looking to get offensive - TwinCities.com
Derek Boogaard did not become a favorite of Wild fans because of his scoring touch. But Boogaard, who deflected the puck into the net for a goal during one of his team's two intrasquad scrimmages in training camp this week at the X, vows things will be different this season. "Hopefully," he said with a straight face, "I'll get 20."

For Wild, only one will be 'C' worthy | StarTribune.com
"For me, the 'C' carries a ton of responsibility," Richards said. "Not only does it give you the ability to talk to the referees, but you're basically in charge of the team. I'll be driving the bus early on in practices and games, but in the end, what it comes down to is the guys. The guy who has to be the leader then has to be the guy wearing the 'C.'"

Bummer

It’s going to be a shame to see the sellout streak end in a year that the Wild actually took some major corrective actions to make the team better.
