Butch is Back

According to Wild.com's Glen Andresen, Pierre-Marc Bouchard will return to the Wild line up. When you ask? Wednesday night versus the Phoenix Coyotes.

So much for a conditioning stint, eh?

From Andresen:
"Barring any setbacks in the next 24 hours, Head Coach Todd Richards will write Bouchard's name on the Wild's roster tomorrow night when the Phoenix Coyotes visit Xcel Energy Center. Richards has only been able to do that one other time in his Wild coaching career."

I guess that can be a motivation for the guys...

See guys, if you don’t play well… let’s just say you better damn well protect Butch, second period, any period, intermission, whatever… play angry.

It could work. It also shows just how desperate the team is for that little extra spark right now. It would have been very good for Butch to get a few games with Houston before his Wild debut.

I can’t help but think this decision is pure desperation to try and spark some offense, because unless he’s made some great progress without us knowing, I doubt he’s 100% ready, and we all know what could happen..
