The 12 Days of Wild Christmas: Day Two

Barker: "Nik... it's nap time man."

Backstrom: "I don't wanna take a nap."

Brodziak: "Seriously though. It's nap time. See you in 20."

Yesterday, we started off our little ditty, using the tune from a very familiar Christmas tune. Again, using Christmas music is not meant as a slight to our non-Christmas friends. If there was a 12 Days of Rohatsu song, trust me, we would use that. Alas, only the 12 days of Christmas, so we stick with that.

For today's installment, make the jump.

Star-divide

A reminder of the tune, along with a more fitting mood for the situation the Wild find themselves in:

Finally, today's verse, sing loud:

On the second day of Wild Christmas, the Wild gave to me:

Two periods of actual hockey, and an owner who who keeps gnashing his teeth.

Still plenty of days left. What did the Wild give to you?

The Wild give me an expensive choice every March

Feed my family* or renew Wild season tickets?

*Just kidding, of course, that particular decision is easy—renew the tickets. JUST KIDDING, AGAIN! :-)

However, now that I bring up the thought of renewal… The level of play—or, more appropriately, the unknown level of play—we’re going to receive next year and into the future is going to make me think long an hard before pulling that renew trigger again. Wild season tickets are no trivial financial decision [for me, anyway], and I’m not feeling a lot of return for my investment the last couple of years.

I just got married in Spetember so it was easy for me to decide not to renew this season. I suppose next season I could have a dilemna.

My third child will be here in a couple months, and my wife will be staying home.

Easy decision for me not to have season tickets next year. Of course, it would be nice if the team looked like it would make that a painful reality.

On the 2nd day of Wild Christmas, the Wild gave to me:

2 consecutive road wins, and an owner who keeps gnashing his teeth.

On the second day of Wild Christmas, the Wild gave to me:

2 lousy defenseman and a goalie saving our behinds.

According to my friends: I talk about hockey way too much.

On the second day of Wild Christmas, the Wild gave to me:

2 terrible broadcasters, and a mustache with a twitter account.
