Cal Clutterbuck Signed to 3 Year Extension
Fan favorite Cal Clutterbuck has been re-signed to a three year extension, keeping the human wrecking ball in town for the foreseeable future.
From the Wild:

Clutterbuck will be available to the media upon the conclusion of today’s 10:30 a.m. practice at St. Thomas Arena."Cal is an intense competitor who has quickly become a fan favorite with the Wild," Fletcher said. From Russo's Twitter:
I'm told Clutterbuck's contract with the #mnwild is three years, $4.2 million (1.4 cap hit)
In Fletch we trust. Long live C-Buck!

My favorite thing I have read so far about this is over on Russo’s Rants:
"Cal is an intense competitor who has quickly become a fan favorite with the Wild," GM Chuck Fletcher said. "We look forward to watching his development for years to come."
A fan favorite. It is good to see a GM to has a respect for the players the fans like to watch. Good on ya Fletch. Good on ya.
Awesome
Great news indeed. Even better that he signed for a fair price.
Glad to see Cluts locked up for a few more years
Actual action being taken with RFAs before the season is over? This is a new day in Minnesota sports, indeed.
Let's Go Wild!
Risky, I say.
I love the move, and I applaud the Fletch. Die hard C-buck fan, I am; however, if he keeps his game the same he’ll be worn down like a #2 pencil half way through his contract. You heard it here first – pinball-style hockey will have his career in an early grave.
I agree, partly.
I do think that if Cal does not adjust his style it is going to shorten his career. That said, I do not see him having any problems making it through this contract playing the same way.
