Wild vs Blues Game Thread

St. Louis Blues at Minnesota Wild, Mar 14, 2010 5:00 PM CDT

Nathan is at Disney World, I forgot to make a game thread. Sorry.

Hopefully Nathan doesn't fire me.

Five Questions to Answer:

1. Can I help my wife write a budget for work and watch hockey at the same time?

2. Can the Wild play hard despite the fact that their season is all but mathematically over?

3. How will Harding look in his third straight game?

4. How many fights will there be?

5. If a game is played in Saint Paul, and nobody cares, does it still count?

FML

First home game I’ve had to miss due to work.

by SpaethCo on Mar 14, 2010 5:44 PM CDT up reply actions

And I just realized I am here all alone.

I am lost and scared. Some one help me. Anyone? A stranger with candy?

by BReynolds on Mar 14, 2010 5:45 PM CDT up reply actions

Well we’re at one fight so far. As Russo tweeted, I didn’t know Boogie bled.

And as I just texted my friend, Benoit for Guillaume = BEST TRADE EVER!

by TylerDurdenUMD on Mar 14, 2010 5:46 PM CDT reply actions

Oh and for the rest:

1-No
2-F yeah
3-Awesome
5-Well at least one person in Duluth cares.

by TylerDurdenUMD on Mar 14, 2010 5:49 PM CDT up reply actions

Absolute best trade ever. GM of the year quality right there.

by BReynolds on Mar 14, 2010 5:49 PM CDT up reply actions

BReynolds, was that you or Nathan who’ll do the end of the year questions? I remember when I first started posting here I’d asked if this was perhaps the best draft/FA/trade year we’ve seen yet. One of you two said that’ll be one for the end of the year.

by TylerDurdenUMD on Mar 14, 2010 5:50 PM CDT up reply actions

Not sure. It was likely Nathan, since I don’t remember saying that.

by BReynolds on Mar 14, 2010 5:58 PM CDT up reply actions

At the game.

Kinda sad to see the lack comments so far.
What was the penalty called at the end of the period?

by Yabbs on Mar 14, 2010 5:54 PM CDT reply actions

Thanks. I must have missed it coming over the PA.

by Yabbs on Mar 14, 2010 5:59 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions

No idea. I’m not there today, and they did not mention it on TV

by BReynolds on Mar 14, 2010 5:58 PM CDT up reply actions

Stensaas says Zidlicky for hooking

by BReynolds on Mar 14, 2010 5:59 PM CDT up reply actions

Online boxscore is saying Schultz. Oh well, we’ll figure it out soon enough.

by TylerDurdenUMD on Mar 14, 2010 6:00 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah. Stensaas actually said Zanon… not Zids.

We’re all messed up. Hopefully one of us begins paying attention soon.

by BReynolds on Mar 14, 2010 6:01 PM CDT up reply actions

Probably gonna be one of you guys. I’m juggling laundry and vacation planning. It’s time to get out of D-town.

by TylerDurdenUMD on Mar 14, 2010 6:02 PM CDT up reply actions

Idiot #2 just said it is Schultz taking a breather. Still no update about Boogie.

by TylerDurdenUMD on Mar 14, 2010 6:05 PM CDT up reply actions

Good lord, can FSN pleeeeeeeeease stop playing that gay O.A.R. song?

by TylerDurdenUMD on Mar 14, 2010 6:03 PM CDT reply actions

Is it during intermission? I haven’t seen it if it is. I skip the intermissions.

by BReynolds on Mar 14, 2010 6:27 PM CDT up reply actions

zanon gimped back into the locker room after taking a slapper of the leg. Favoring his right.

Also, Mittens!

by Yabbs on Mar 14, 2010 6:29 PM CDT via mobile reply actions

Mittens!!!!

And yes, the song is usually during intermissions.

by TylerDurdenUMD on Mar 14, 2010 6:29 PM CDT reply actions

What is it with the Wild getting the refs who need more attention than a teenage girl?

by TylerDurdenUMD on Mar 14, 2010 6:30 PM CDT reply actions

Feathers could have knocked King over there. But Schultz goes for the hook anyway. :(

by Yabbs on Mar 14, 2010 6:31 PM CDT via mobile reply actions

Using the timeout? Interesting…

by Yabbs on Mar 14, 2010 6:36 PM CDT via mobile reply actions

I wonder how much crap that little kid’s classmates are going to give him for getting caught on camera air-drumming.

by TylerDurdenUMD on Mar 14, 2010 6:37 PM CDT reply actions

Boogaard, Zanon

both missing. Boogaard had 11 seconds of ice time. I want that blood splattered jersey on my wall..

by shleske on Mar 14, 2010 6:45 PM CDT reply actions

You’re twisted.

I like it. ;-)

by BReynolds on Mar 14, 2010 6:46 PM CDT up reply actions

Weird, I get that a lot :P

by shleske on Mar 14, 2010 6:48 PM CDT up reply actions

When all else fails, go with it.

by BReynolds on Mar 14, 2010 6:50 PM CDT up reply actions

Quick question:

Anyone know which player has been pretty vocal the last few games? We can always hear him yelling above everyone else, it gets a little comical. Just curious.

by shleske on Mar 14, 2010 6:51 PM CDT reply actions

i’m guessing its dubielewicz. the first time i noticed it was at the last game when dubie was called up.

by thaxman on Mar 14, 2010 7:51 PM CDT up reply actions

Nice scrum behind harding. Looks like noone goes to the sinbin.

by Yabbs on Mar 14, 2010 7:08 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions

Am I mistaken or was that Lats jumping in?

by TylerDurdenUMD on Mar 14, 2010 7:09 PM CDT up reply actions

I missed it. Dammit. Cooking dinner. Stupid early games.

by BReynolds on Mar 14, 2010 7:17 PM CDT up reply actions

Huh. Mason never played past the first. Missed that too. Need to have a beer or something, focus.
