Questions to Answer

  1. So, can the Wild give a beatdown to a team who has given up on the season?
  2. How will Petr Kalus look in his premiere?
  3. Can the Irish God of War provide some leadership to the younguns?
  4. Will Benedict Russo show his true colors tonight?
  5. Cal Clutterbuck is out because of a charley horse? Really? Ok.

Great News Everybody

They found a matching liver from somebody who recently passed away for my dad so he can have his transplant and I don’t have to go under the knife!!! I’m so relieved

by TonyO on Mar 9, 2010 6:36 PM CST reply actions

Excellent news! well, at least given the situation….

by SpaethCo on Mar 9, 2010 7:01 PM CST via mobile up reply actions

That's very good!

I meant to post something long ago but: I’m so sorry to hear about your dad and now I’m glad things are okay. :)

RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July

by fischean on Mar 9, 2010 7:06 PM CST up reply actions

Awesome, Tony! Good news. Sincerely, that makes me feel much better about tonight. Great news. Your Dad and your family still have a ways to go, but it will be much better for you to be there supporting him instead of in another room recovering yourself.

Let's Go Wild!

CAL-us Drinking Game.

Everytime the announcers call his name wrong take a drink.

As for the Cal Clutterbuck injury, having had a couple of those charlie horses before, I know that the calf muscle can be quite tender if it’s bad enough. I can honestly see this keeping an NHL player out of the game.

Just sayin’

GO WILD!

by Jolonco on Mar 9, 2010 6:45 PM CST reply actions

Watching on the computer tonight. Panthers feed. Should be interesting.

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 7:01 PM CST reply actions

I expect

Kalus to hit everything that moves tonight. I will accept nothing less.

by SpaethCo on Mar 9, 2010 7:03 PM CST via mobile reply actions

He has big shoes to fill.

RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July

by fischean on Mar 9, 2010 7:06 PM CST up reply actions

Agreed. He best play physical, and he best make his case. He should be the hungriest guy out there tonight. Needs to show he belongs.

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 7:08 PM CST up reply actions

Kalus=Callous?

:\

That was really nice.

Welcome!

401 straight sellouts. Never not sold out a game.

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 7:20 PM CST up reply actions

Hey, thanks. ;-) Couldn’t have done it without… oh wait. I didn’t do anything.

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 7:23 PM CST up reply actions

without suckers like me. Just go ahead and say it!

by SpaethCo on Mar 9, 2010 7:25 PM CST via mobile up reply actions

Well, the Wild couldn’t have done it with out suckers like you and me, so we can take some credit. You more than me.

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 7:29 PM CST up reply actions

.
Brent Burns does play with a very long stick.

Heh.

FLA goaltender looking not so good tonight. Nor the defense. Throw in the offense as well.

by Donny Rivette on Mar 9, 2010 7:29 PM CST up reply actions

RFA. They will qualify him. He isn’t going anywhere.

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 7:48 PM CST up reply actions

He should.

Can’t they find someone with a pulse?

by CitySlicker on Mar 9, 2010 7:49 PM CST up reply actions

Not sure what the value they see is there. They won’t put him on waivers, either. Very strange.

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 7:52 PM CST up reply actions

Maybe they’re hoping someone might want to trade for him? Not alone, of course, but as part of a package?

by SpaethCo on Mar 9, 2010 7:57 PM CST via mobile up reply actions

Could be. Could be they are just waiting for someone to make an offer of any kind. Fourth rounder, etc.

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 7:58 PM CST up reply actions

He was always supposed to have potential. At this point the “change of scenery,” as they say, could only be beneficial.

by CitySlicker on Mar 9, 2010 8:00 PM CST up reply actions

Gotta feel bad for Shep.

Just not a good situation with him.

RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July

by fischean on Mar 9, 2010 7:49 PM CST up reply actions

I guess.

I agree it’s DR’s administrations fault, but really, he’s becoming more of a wasted spot than Boogaard. At least Boogey has a role to play.

by CitySlicker on Mar 9, 2010 7:52 PM CST up reply actions

Another highly exciting second period of Wild hockey. YAWN!

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 8:09 PM CST reply actions

You know, that computer you are using to watch the game can also be used to access pornography.

That would entertain you until about the end of the period.

by SpaethCo on Mar 9, 2010 8:17 PM CST via mobile up reply actions

HA! Um… pornog… what now?

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 8:18 PM CST up reply actions

Just make sure you don’t get caught up in a pornado. It can be a pain to close all those pop-ups.

by CitySlicker on Mar 9, 2010 8:18 PM CST up reply actions

Major lol at 'pornado'.

RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July

No.

by fischean on Mar 9, 2010 8:18 PM CST up reply actions

You have Comcast? Hearing of issues with that.

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 8:18 PM CST up reply actions

Finally just turned it off, then back on, and it works. Damn technology.

by CitySlicker on Mar 9, 2010 8:20 PM CST up reply actions

Shots are disappointing

6 – 20 in favor of Fla.

by SpaethCo on Mar 9, 2010 8:30 PM CST via mobile reply actions

I hope we win 5-0 on 10 shots. Just because.

by CitySlicker on Mar 9, 2010 8:32 PM CST up reply actions

Mercifully, the second period is over.

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 8:34 PM CST reply actions

a pornado would’ve been a relief.

by ADN on Mar 9, 2010 8:37 PM CST up reply actions

Russo said

Hnidy was MIA on the bench. Did I miss something..?

by shleske on Mar 9, 2010 8:45 PM CST reply actions

I didn’t see it either. No idea.

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 8:46 PM CST up reply actions

he blocked a shot in the 1st – did that take him out?

by SpaethCo on Mar 9, 2010 8:56 PM CST via mobile up reply actions

Why are the 2nd periods of Wild games soo boring?

man I fell asleep…thank god for barking dogs!

by TonyO on Mar 9, 2010 8:47 PM CST reply actions

Ugh...saw that one coming.

RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July

nice work defense.

by ADN on Mar 9, 2010 8:54 PM CST reply actions

Sorry. I was napping. (No, not really)

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 8:56 PM CST reply actions

Holy hell

anyone keeping track of the number of broken sticks? it’s gotta be a dozen now

by SpaethCo on Mar 9, 2010 9:04 PM CST via mobile reply actions

All I know is it is higher than the number of Wild SOG

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 9:06 PM CST reply actions

Ughhhh.

Wow. Bad bad bad.

RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 9:10 PM CST reply actions

</3 Joe Nathan

:(

RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July

by fischean on Mar 9, 2010 9:12 PM CST up reply actions

With Joe Nathan possibly out for the season

I’d almost rather talk about how deplorable the Wild are

by TonyO on Mar 9, 2010 9:12 PM CST up reply actions

Could be a long season without him. I’m not a baseball guy. They have someone to replace him?

by BReynolds on Mar 9, 2010 9:13 PM CST up reply actions

Possibly.

There are a few options right now. Hopefully Guerrier will be able to step in, or maybe Rauch.

RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July

by fischean on Mar 9, 2010 9:14 PM CST up reply actions

Liriano has too much value as a potential starter to become the closer.

Neshek just might be in there, though.

RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July

are the Wild really THIS FLAT without Clutterbuck? My GOODNESS.

by ADN on Mar 9, 2010 9:10 PM CST reply actions

the wild are very good procrastinators.

by ADN on Mar 9, 2010 9:12 PM CST up reply actions

You'd think they were college students or something.

what are you looking for? games, practical stuff?

by ADN on Mar 9, 2010 9:19 PM CST up reply actions

Eh, anything really.

I have MLB At-Bat, a couple free games, and the NY Times. Better games would be nice, I guess.

surfacer and traffic rush are pretty fun games. remote is a nifty app if you have a computer that you play a lot of music off of.

by ADN on Mar 9, 2010 9:24 PM CST up reply actions

Sweet, thanks for the suggestions.

I’d heard about remote, it sounds pretty cool.
