Kurtis Foster has been named a finalist for the Masterson Trophy. This is well deserved. To go from busted femur to one of the highest scoring d-men in the league is impressive. Never should have let him leave.

Lemaire has announced his retirement, but will stay in the Devils organization. Huh. Raise your hand if you didn't see that coming. No? No hands, huh?

I knew Jacques didn't have anything left.

yeah he got the Devils to the Big Dance..but to only choke in the 1st round…

To be fair

They choked in the 1st round on their own for 2 years prior to Jacques going there.

Why he brought Skoula to help him out is still beyond me. It’s comical in its absurdity.

I think this was more of Lemaire being forced out. Didn’t he say 5 days ago that he wanted to continue coaching? Good to hear that Foster is a finalist for the Mastertson, he should win it.

I suspect coaching stops being fun when you’re stuck with teams that can’t win, at least after you’ve already won the cup as many times as JL has.

Congrats to Foster

I’m really happy to see him in there. All three candidates are well-deserving, though.

Foster damn well better win! He deserves it the most, hands down

About Lemaire and Skoula… I will NEVER understand a world-class coach playing such a world-class doofus so much…

Lemaire had a great hockey life, more than anyone can even hope for, he received so many honors and was really important to us in his time here. Wish you all the best JL!

I think

Lemaire retired because he knew he would get fired. Obviously many thought the Devils would be in the Cup finals. The fact that they lost in the first round with great talent like Parise, Langenbrunner, Kovalchuk, and Martin was not what a lot of people expected.
