Favorite piece of hockey memorabilia
Today I was cleaning my room and closet and found some of my Wild memorabilia that I hadn't seen in a while.
It got me thinking about what my favorite piece of hockey memorabilia is.
I never played hockey when I was younger, much less learned to ice skate. (I know, I know, how can I live in Minnesota and not learn how to ice skate? To be honest I couldn't tell ya.) So I wouldn't have any collectables.
Most of my memorabilia is of the Wild (thanks to my dad for working at the X, getting me all of it, and for introducing me to some of the players so I could get their autographs), but I also have one piece from Mike Modano.
I would have to say my two favorites (I can't choose just one) are my autographed puck from Guillaume Latendresse since he is one of my favorite players, and my autographed puck from Mike Modano because he is Mike Modano.. enough said.
What is your most prized hockey, NHL, and/or Wild collectable? What's the story behind it (if there is one)?
The opinions posted here are not those of Hockey Wilderness

Oh man… I did play hockey, and I have a long time to collect things. I have hockey cards from when I was a kid. A Patrick Roy rookie card has got to be close to the top. I have a sweet Grant Fuhr card with the picture of him leaning against the net like “yeah right, bitches.” I have playoff stuff from the 1991 run for the North Stars, I have Playoff run stuff from the inbetween years when I was an Avs fan, playoff stuff from the long run the Wild made… hockey jerseys, pennants, trophies, rings, patches, pins, old skates, old sticks… jeeze…
My favorite? My ticket stub from Game 7 against the Avs in Colorado. Once in a lifetime trip. Awesome.
Rule #17: You may not impersonate representatives of Hockey Wilderness and handout NHL themed wrist bands.
Jersey...
MoDo autographed old North Stars Jersey. Or my Bobby Orr autographed all-star Jersey from the 60’s or 70’s. cant remember exactly what game it was from. Its in a safety deposit box with all its info.
Stuff
I’m not as fortunate as you guys getting autographed stuff and whatnot, but in the rare times I see Wild related stuff in stores here (VERY RARE), I jump on it! I’ve got a Wild cap, a Wild puck that my sister bought in MTL, some Wild hockey tape my girlfriend found at a store and a Wild jersey my family ordered on the internet for Christmas. When I play NHL on PS2 or PS3 with my cousin, I always put on my Wild cap and jersey, while he puts on his Maple Leafs gear.

fave hockey stuff
I’ve got a collection of commemorative pucks that my hubby bought for me at Wild games that we went to together on holidays. Valentines Day, Thanksgiving, St Patty’s Day, my birthday. And then pucks signed by Brent Burns (my favorite player) and Kyle Brodziak (mystery puck night). They are stacked on edge in a memory box that hangs in my den. Fun reminders. My friends think I am crazy that I am thrilled to spend valentines day and my birthday at a Wild game – buy me a beer and a pretzel and I am a happy woman!
