RDS: Latendresse Signs 2 Year Deal @ $2.5 million Per Year

First report I am aware of came from RDS, so I'll give them credit, but it has also been confirmed by Russo. Guillaume Latendresse has signed a two year deal, averaging to $2.5 million per season for two seasons.

The RDS story can be found HERE. Big stick tap to @iowaWildFan for the link.

From Russo on Twitter:

#mnwild Guillaume Latendresse, who scored a career-high 27 goals last season, agrees to terms on 2-yr, $5 million deal, says Fletcher

Latendresse gets 2.4, 2.6

This is a fantastic deal for both sides, especially if Latendresse continues to produce at the level he did to finish the season. It is a cap friendly contract headed into tomorrow's spending spree, and it gives Fletcher a very clear picture about where he he is at for payroll space. It is good for BTE as well, since if he continues to tear it up, in two years he can cash in.

A win-win, folks. How many times has THAT happened in Wild history?

This is a great deal and could be a ridiculous bargain if Tenderness is for reals.

I want to spin the wheel of justice!

Good work Fletcher!

Step 1. Resign Lats ….. Done

Step 2. Trade/Sign for a second line center (I’m liking Saku or maybe even Jokinen)

Step 3. Trade/Sign for a top line winger ( a lot of RFA’s available Seto, Neal, Ryan…)

Tomorrow should be interesting. Still hoping we trade Burns…

This is an awsome deal!

what a bargain, only 2.5 per year? It’s good to be in the gorup that has a GM that actually knows what he’s doing. no way HWSRN could have gotten that deal. prob would have been 4.5 for 4 years with a no trade clause.

would of liked

him to do it one more year but couldnt afford to lose him .so………
saw him a lot in mon, and he always was hard to watch cause you could tell he had a lot more in him. but he looked good last year so mabey he has “found it” and he is gonna keep it
if he pops out a couple 30 goal season’s then 2.5 is quite a steal

just can’t wait till Mikko is on broadway next year, don’t worry you can have drury

I hate to break it to you...

but Mikko isn’t going ANYWHERE. We love him here in Minny. They are sure to work out a long term extension because he is the face of this franchise, he wants to stay here, and vice versa.

Sorry if I sounded rude.

I just love Koivu haha! But no Boogey can not skate very well. He is pretty slow.

yea

i was just talking about him in my blog, i said he is the best kept secret in the league, but te guys on the rangers page seem to think mabey gabby has some pull with him so i guess we will know soon if he signs an extension…….
