Where Players Spend their Time
This is a must read post from Behind the Net. It is very short, so take look. There are a couple reasons why this is important:
1. How many times do you hear NHL players and coaches say "We need to go to the net more?" This is why.
2. We have discussed a couple of times if Latendresse can continue his shooting % this year. If he is shooting in close, which he should be, there is no reason to think he can't.
3. Andrew Brunette leads the league in shooting %. Andrew Brunette doesn't lead the league in anything...

Let's set the record straight about G-Lat...
In MTL, he scored an average of 16 goals with mediocre linemates, limited ice-time and limited confidence, both from coaches and himself. Now, in Minny, he’s playing with Martin fucking Havlat, a guy who’s always had potential for point per game production, a REAL 2nd liner in Cullen, about double the ice time and enough confidence to jump-start a car. I think Latendresse’s production with the Wild was not a fluke, and I can’t wait till October when he can start proving naysayers wrong!
