Puck Daddy's Mt. Puckmore comes to Minnesota
Nathan has taken his game on the road once again. This time, to the venerable Puck Daddy blog, and its month long series of "Mt. Puckmore" posts. Who are the four faces of the franchise? How did Nathan do? Agree? Disagree? Who would you have chosen?

For the record, I would have put HWSRN on there. I like the addition of Schultz, and don’t get me wrong, this would not be an easy list to make. So many choices in the “heart” category. Have to remember, only 4 places to put heads.

I think I would have substituted Nick Schultz for Wes Walz based on the fact that Walz played a pivotal role in the early years of the franchise. He was an older Mikko before we actually had Mikko; however, Schultz has put in his time and is a big leader for our team.
what about
what about roloson or brunette? tough decisions but I probably would have picked one of those two over schultzy. Brunette deserves it for his famous goal against the Avs if nothing else
"Brian Cardinal left Purdue being the only Boilermaker to receive both the "Mr. Hustle" Award and the "Courage" Award four years in a row"
Both good choices as well
But Schultz is just Schultz. It would have been a tough choice, but I think #55 was best.
If we were going just by how much they represented the franchise, then I think Boogaard should have been considered (though I would have been upset if he made the list). Purely for ‘fame’ reasons. He’s probably one of the top 3 best known (ex) Wild players, sadly.

I liked the comments
that said we should include people from the North Stars to this list instead of everybody else that’s on there. Do people not realize that the Wild are a different team, and that the Stars still exist down in Dallas?
No. They don’t. Ask OTHG. It’s the same team, same franchise, same everything.

You must not go to the Yahoo Sports boards much. It’s bad. So…so bad. The comments there are even stupider than the ones on the Wild’s Facebook page, and that’s saying something.

It's hard to fathom Walz not being there...
But at the same time, it’s also very hard to argue with these choices. This is about the people who made the biggest impact on the franchise, and while Walz was the heart and soul of the team, Koivu’s our first permanent captain, Schultz has played the most games for the franchise and has done so pretty much in irreprochable fashion, Gaby of course is the best player (in terms of talent) to wear the jersey, and no one should be able to stage any sort of an argument against Lemaire.
Once again, great job Nathan, enjoyed it as always!

Regarding HWSRN, or as I just want to call him right now, Fuckstick, I would have put him over JL just for the fact that people need to see the dipshit coaches/GM’s, expose them and ensure they never get a job again.
Fuckstick was the frying pan and 90% of his choices were the egg in the frying pan for those that remember the anti-drug commercial.
