Wild Assistant GM Brent Flahr Re-Caps Traverse City Game 1
"Flahr's Key Takeaway:
The Wild played well after only being on the ice together for one practice. With a game under their belt and another practice tomorrow morning the team should be more comfortable together when they take on Columbus in the afternoon."

Nice to see Tyler Johnson score for the Wild at Traverse City. He worked his butt off at dev camp. Same with Joel Broda, who added the second goal. Also great to see Matt Hackett perform well. His play was really up and down at dev camp. Jarod Palmer once again shows what it means to be a man among boys when playing with prospects. Can’t wait to see how he looks in camp. Two assists for Palmer today & accounts from the game indicate that he was all over the ice making plays. Likely ends up in Houston, but he may force Richards & Co. to make a really hard decision over the next few weeks. Can’t wait for camp to start! Casey Wellman also had an assist and reports say he played a really solid 2-way game. He just may be NHL ready out of the gate. Love the difference in the level (& NHL-readiness) of the Wild prospects this season compared to the previous few years. #infletchwetrust

Defeating the defending champions and our newer acquisitions (Wellman, Broda, Palmer) contributing points likely makes the next few years very exciting for us. We’ve got some prospects that we can look forward to seeing on our squad, which is something that hasn’t happened in a long time. It’s also pretty amaxing how quickly CF put all this together. In Fletch we trust indeed!

I'm really high on Broda
so I’m glad he was contributing out there. Anyways that’s all Fletcher pick-ups who scored today. Good to see!
