I found this somewhat interesting. It's from ESPN ("they cover hockey? NO WAY!" lol).

It's this "fancy" graph/chart showing all 30 teams and their "windows" of opportunity. The teams in red are obviously Cup contenders. I was wondering if anyone here was an ESPN Insider (I'm not at all) and could shed some light as to what the teams in blue and green (where our Minnesota Wild are-- get it green?) represent. I was also reading the comments on this and apparently the "window" for the Red Wings is 1 year (could have something to do with Lidstrom, don't know for sure), even though they have amazing scouts that seem to find talented players in late rounds year in and year out (Datsyuk and Zetterberg are perfect examples). Why they can't do a normal season preview is beyond me. If no one here is an ESPN Insider, no biggie. Just found this a little intriguing and wanted to pass it on to everyone else.
Let's see a better performance from the Wild tonight against the Blues! Go Wild! :)
