Enough Whining
Can we all stop whining.
While reading the comments following the Hackett piece on NHL.com after the Kings game I was taken back by all the crying that Wild fans were doing about the lack of attention by the league and national media. I too am frustrated by the lack of attention, that our favotite team has been given, but really it is getting a little obnoxious.. Can we just get on with our own appreciation and to hell with what the others have to say, because when they do cover this team they usually get wrong anyhow. Use that energy to make noise when you do go to a game at The Morgue and even talk to people you see in your rea life to raise interest and awareness of the Wild's story around here.
The opinions posted here are not those of Hockey Wilderness

So
We should post a whine about the whining? It is always effective to fight ‘fire’ with ‘fire’. ;-)
This
Reminded me of a friend posting on Facebook ’’Can’t people ever just stop complaining?’’, which was a complaint in itself.
I'm that ''ignorant dumbass'' who writes with the ''whiny idiot homer'' over at Hockey Wilderness.

Meh
Wild are actually getting tons of press at the moment, its all come on late but find me a national news outlet that covers sports that hasn’t had a feature story on the Wild in the last couple days. Pretty much just SI that hasn’t but Dater is their main writer now so its obvious why they haven’t
SI ran an article about the Wild too
And it’s actually a great article.

I remember reading that, but I was kind of talking like this week. I think it has a lot to do with the Owner meetings being in Cali at the same time as the Wild so a lot of National writers were around them for once, but pretty much all the national media sources have had an article about Yeo/Wild in the last 3 days
Pass
Big difference between whining and being bitter and snarky. We’ve had this conversation already, so I’ll just leave it at that.

He's got a pooint.
Alot of noise was made when we first went atop the standings in the NHL and weren’t immediatley recognized. But, we didnt deserve it. Its not much of an achievement to simply reach the top you have to stay there for more than a game to gain attention. We have now done so for the past week and now the stories have come.
I think the complaint was more about the double standard of the media.
Teams like the Pens and Bruins were getting a ton of media attention for doing really well, even though the Wild were doing just as well if not better. It wasn’t so much that the Wild fan base was annoyed about getting no recognition for being at the top, it was more just general frustration with the media bias given to big market teams.
