Gotta love the hockey name. Like the title says, the Minnesota Wild signed UMD forward Justin Fontaine to a 2-year entry level deal on Tuesday, April 19. Fontaine, 23, was a senior playing on the top scoring line in all of college hockey last year having netted 22 goals and 36 assists for 58 points which was good enough for fourth in the nation. This signing continues to strategy of Chuck Fletcher in signing college free agents. The signing comes about a week after the Wild signed Chay Genoway from North Dakota.
What do you think of the signing?
