Minnesota Wild Interactive Depth Chart
Now that the Minnesota Wild's 2010-2011 campaign has ended, it's time to move forward. Wild management has some decisions that need to be made. To help you better and more easily understand where the Wild currently stands, I built this interactive depth chart for you to play with. In it, you'll find a classic depth chart along with players' ages, salaries for this year and next and a link to a YouTube highlight (command+click to open).

Thanks, everyone
It’s all done in Flash with some coding. The most time consuming part was compiling all the information and deciding on design.
If anyone else has anything they want to see put into a Flash/interactive piece, let me know and I’ll see what I can do!

Depending on what they do with Barker
& Granlund, Lehtonen, Madden, Sheppard. The Wild will have between 9 million & 12 Million unless they make some significant trades this summer.

As I understand it...
Granlund needs to learn North American hockey before he steps in, so I wouldn’t count on seeing his contract actually effect the Wild’s cap. He would do well in Houston, playing along side Fontaine perhaps?
Lehtonen is being pursued by European teams, and may have a mega offer in the KHL. Can the Wild compete with that?
Madden is probably on his way out. The Wild do have 3 centers as of now in Koivu, Brodziak, and Cullen, and I would figure that Colton Gillies gets a crack at the 4th center position.
Sheppard is the enigma. The Wild can re-sign him on a two-way deal and place him in Houston since he hasn’t played enough games in the past two years.
Barker…well…he can go to hell.
I think The Wild will sign Shep
to that two way contract & give him his last chance. There really is no risk in the contract. If he doesn’t perform he goes to Houston & if he does then the WIld benefit from taking the risk. In all honesty Lehtonen will probably sign with the WIld as it is the Premier League in the world. The KHL likes to throw money around but also have those beat downs like we saw a few months ago where Skoula got beat to a pulp. If he doesn’t not much lost there either. Wellman & Gillies will likely be with the team from the start. As for the rest its just to darn early.
