Wilderness Walk for 1-25-2012
Another day, another short Walk. At least this one has some meaning to it. Yes, I just devalued the work I do each day. I'm allowed to do that.
News could be rather short is coming with the All Star break, so if there is no Walk for a day or two, don't panic. We're still here. We'll find something to keep you from having to do actual work, OK? OK. Anything specific you want to use as a distraction? Let us know.
For today, please follow the first link and vote. It would be very nice of you, and I am asking you personally to help out. It costs nothing, takes about a minute, and could help out big time. More than can be indicated in words. You can vote every day via that same link, and we'll remind you every day to do so.
Links, after the jump.
First Things First

Master of unsustainable passive regression.

Aw man, I hate it when hockey players who I absolutely do not want to like or respect for any reason do something that makes kinda like and respect them. Then again, I also kinda love it. It’s part of what makes hockey the best sport in the world and also really puts things in perspective. Good video. Thanks for including it.
Justin Bourne calls it Sports Hate. No need to love the guy on the ice, but can still love what he does off of it. Sean Avery is a prime example. Great guy off the ice, doing good work and helping good causes. Absolutely cannot stand the way he plays the game.

One thing I have noticed, is he does really seem to be a TEAM guy. Russo has metioned it, but I think one of the times it really clicked in my head was watching his reaction to Mcmillan’s goal. He seemed soooooo excited and overjoyed for the kid. He may not be scoring as much as I would have hoped (not doing too bad, though), but I really like the pick up from a team perspective. Hopefully this continues. We just need to stop passing to him in the neutral zone…
I'm actually really impressed by him this year
He seems to be really enjoy playing for the Wild and Mike Yeo. Rather than being a 50 goal season guy, he’s become this physical, team-player who keeps chipping-in with goals and assists.
