Word is, he also make julienne fries. That is not confirmed.
While it is unlikely that any of the Minnesota Wild will get enough votes to be starters in the NHL All-Star game, it is good to know that someone in the organization will get the credit they deserve. Goaltender Matt Hackett and forward Jon DiSalvatore have both been named to the AHL All-Star game January 29-30 in Atlantic City, NJ.
Wild fans got a small taste of DiSalvatore's game with a single game call up in December. He is the captain in Houston, and is often overlooked in his role in that team's success. As Wild fans know all too well, a good captain can make a team better, and without him, the team can suffer. DiSlavatore's 27 points (10G, 17A) lead the Aeros, shopwing he leads by example.
Hackett, you all know. The guy came up to the NHL, was put in a tough spot and shut down the opposition for record setting amounts of time. He currently has a 2.22 GAA (6th in AHL) , a .923 save % (7th), and a 12-5-3 record. Not bad, to say the least.
Well deserved honors for two of the leaders on the Aeros. Congrats, gentlemen.
