This is big news. Basically, the 2012-2013 season will remain in the same format as this year, meaning the realignment we were all so excited for won't take place next season. This could also cause some friction between the NHLPA and the execs, which could mean a bumpy road towards creating a new CBA. Must we fear the worst, I.E. lockout? No...not yet anyway...maybe.
