NHLPA Meet the Rookies - Charlie Coyle

Charlie Coyle. That one kid you really want to see play hockey.

The NHLPA is releasing a series of videos, building up the young stars coming up the ranks. You have to imagine that in years past, the Minnesota Wild likely wouldn't have had anyone included. After all, what kind of draw does AJ Thelen really have?

The times, they are a changin'.

Charlie Coyle stars in a short video, introducing him to the world outside the few of you that actually care enough to pay attention to the guys outside the NHL roster. The kid is off to a decent start in Houston, and has done nothing to make Wild fans doubt his ability to become a solid NHLer, at the very least.

With the lockout killing the buzz that Wild fans took on in the July clam bake, it is nice to see someone can still bring a bit of je ne sais quoi to the Wilderness. Please to be enjoying.
