Hello fellow Wilderness folk. Between the not so great showings in the games Thursday night and Friday night has made life as an Aero's fan somewhat unpleasant. But tonight is a new game, and I have a feeling the Aero's have a bit of fire running through their veins today. Tonight they take on the Texas Stars in Houston, with the puck dropping at 5:05pm central.
I have a feeling Kuemper will get the start tonight, mostly because Hackett has had a rough few games. But I've been wrong before (note last game). I have a feeling this is going to be a very interesting game, in one way or another.
On to tonight's questions!
1.) The Aero's have been slow to start the game, and it's often like they don't actually get into the game until the third period. Do they have their heads in the game from the beginning tonight?
2.) The offensive side of their game has been pretty spectacular lately, with Coyle's goal on Thursday (he pointed with his stick where he wanted Phillips to send the puck, and absolutely owned the goalie with it) and Fontaine's goal that he shot while on his butt (seriously). Can they keep it up?
3.) The dreaded defense question. My biggest wish besides the lockout ending is that I can stop asking "how bad is the defense tonight?"
4.) In the past, Houston has pretty much dominated the games against the Stars. Does that trend continue tonight?
5.) The Aero's march to the penalty box has slowed a little during the last few games. However, they have take a total of 10 penalties against the Stars this year, for a total of 26 PIM. Plus, some of Bagnall's big fights have come against the Stars. Is it going to be follow the leader (to the penalty box) tonight, or an even keel game?
Finally, today's PIM stat is...Out of all 26 players that have suited up for the Aeros this year, 6 have not taken any penalty minutes this season.
