Jean-Yves Ahern-US PRESSWIRE
Minnesota Wild goalie Josh Harding has been diagnosed with MS. The lockout doesn't really matter anymore, folks.
Sitting around, waiting for the lockout to end just took a back seat folks. According to Mike Russo of the Star Tribune, Minnesota Wild goaltender Josh Harding has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. We'll give you a second to let that sink in.
We won't comment, other than to say go read Russo's piece. Then, in whatever way you can, please sent some positive energy to Harding. I have a cousin and an uncle that both have MS, and friends that have lost loved ones to it. MS is an ugly disease that I have watched slowly rob people of their ability to walk, move, and even breathe.
I hope that Josh can continue his career, and serve as an inspiration to those with the disease. New therapies are constantly being tested, and the disease is certainly manageable.
Again, please go read the story from Russo.
The lockout just took a big hit on the "what actually matters" meter.
