Weekly Wrap Up – Week 9

Wild – Still Locked Out

Aeros: The Aeros started action on December 7against the Texas Stars with a 2-1 overtime win for Matt Hackett. The regulation goal was scored by Fredheim and the overtime goal was scored by Zucker. After a night off, they faced the Peoria Rivermen for a 3-2 loss. Goals were scored by Genoway and Coyle. Hackett took the loss. They were again in action on the 11th against the San Antonio Rampage for a 5-1 win. Goals were scored by Foucault, Coyle, Palmieri, McIntyre, and Palmer; Matt Hackett with the win. They are in action tonight against the Charlotte Checkers and look to take the number one spot away from them.

Solar Bears: The Solar Bears began a 3 game homestand against the Fort Wayne Komets on December 7. Darcy Kuemper was in the net for a 5-4 shoot out loss that night. Goals for the Bears were scored by Ginand, Cruthers and 2 by Peterson. No one from the Solar Bears scored in the shoot out. They continued on Saturday with a 3-0 loss again for Kuemper. Sunday saw John Curry back from Houston and in the net for a 6-2 win. Goals were scored by Severyn, Lorenz, Reaves, Cruthers, Fortier, and Lampman. The Solar Bears begin a 5 game road trip tonight with a game against the Elmira Jackals.
