Weekly Wrap Up – Week 8

Wild: Clayton Stoner has signed with Slovakian team Banska Bystirca. He is the third Minnesota Wild player to sign overseas. Devon Setoguchi is playing in the ECHL. Jared Spurgeon is currently in Minneapolis having a tweaked groin evaluated.

Aeros: The Aeros started action Thursday night against the Oklahoma City Lumber Barons. This was a 2-1 shoot out victory for Hackett. The lone regulation goal was scored by Palmieri and shoot out goals were scored by Zucker, Phillips and Foucault. They faced the Barons again on Friday, and Hackett once again took a 4-3 win. Goals were scored by Fontaine, Larsson and two by Zucker.

Solar Bears: The Solar Bears took to the ice on Wednesday with a game against the Ontario Reign. This game was a decisive 6-2 loss for Hannu Toivonen. The Bears’ two goals were scored by Severyn. They continued action on Friday against the Las Vegas Wranglers. This time John Curry took the net for a 2-1 shoot out win. The regulation goal was scored again by Severyn and the shoot out goals were scored by Petersen, Severyn and Fortier. They continued action against the Wranglers Saturday for a 0-4 loss for Hannu Toivonen.
