State-O-D. How do our Defense-men look for next year?

Hello once again!

I've been looking at the wild Defense men recently and am really not sure what to think of this bunch. At the beginning of last season, everyone and their mother thought the weak point of the wild would be its defense corps. That proved not to be the case. Even so, questions remain about what the state of them will be in the future, as they really do lack that stand out point presence at this point in time. Never mind the fact they have about 100 guys (give or take 90ish) that make a good solid 2nd pair players. I'm going to list all the defense that I can think of that we had last season and weed out the guys that probably won't be here, and go from there.

Going off Capgeek, the wild have 11 defense-men on their current roster. If that doesn't show how injured these guys were last season, I don't know what will. And that's not including guys that played in Huston for their playoffs. So this list could get very long

Tom Gilbert (Not Nick Schultz)- Signed next season for a hit of $4 million.

Kurtis Foster-UFA, ($1.8 mill last year)

Chay Genoway-RFA, ($1.2 mill last year)

Mike Lundin-UFA, ($1 mill last year)

Steven Kampfer-Signed next season for $850K on a two way deal.

Marco Scandella-Signed next season for $845,833 on a two way deal.

Nate Prosser-Signed next year on his shinny new extension worth $825K (one-way)

Justin Falk-RFA ($605K last year)

Clayton Stoner-Just signed a 2 year extension for reportedly $1.05 mill (Unofficial, one-way?)

Kris Fredheim-RFA ($530K last year)

Jared Spurgeon- Signed next season for $526,667 on a two way deal.

Janas Brodin-Signed next season for $1.475 mill on a two way deal.

Tyler Cuma-Signed next season for $970,833 on a two way deal.

Drew Bagnall-Signed next season for $612,500 on a two way deal.

5 guys who have not seen time in the NHL yet- Kyle Medvec, Colton Jobke, Josh Caron, Bjorn Krupp, Jeff Penner (UFA, the other 4 are signed to two way contracts.)

There is the list of guys what played with the wild last year. It does not include guys that are prospects but unsigned. Looking at this list, I'd say sure wild defense-men for next year are Gilbert, Brodin, Scandella, Prosser, Stoner, and Spurgeon. I also think Cuma will be around the NHL a good amount.

I think Lundin is gone, as well as Foster (Though that will make me sad, I like him.) I do not know much about Kampfer, which makes me think he will be in Huston waiting for a call up as needed, as well as a resigned Fredheim. Bagnall has played 2 games in the NHL, he will be in Huston. The unknown here is Falk. And by Unknown, I mean I have no clue on what to think on him. I think he is good depth, maybe ahead of Cuma on the depth chart? I really do not know, and is there room/need for him?

Wild Defense next year (As of right now) (no specific order)

1. Gilbert

2. Brodin

3. Scandella

4. Prosser

5. Stoner (resigned)

6. Spurgeon

7. Cuma /Falk?

Aeros Defense next year (as of right now) (no specific order)

1. Kampfer

2. Fredheim (resign)

3. Bagnall

4. Medvec

5. Jobke

6. Caron

7. Falk/Cuma?

8. Krupp? (Dono his story, played in the DEL last year)

9. Genoway (Does he get resigned, he is an RFA)

Gone

1. Lundin

2. Foster

3. Penner

So with that, do the wild need/Want to go out and get any type of defense-men? Get some more prospects? Is there anyone I completely missed?
