We learned a few things from yesterday's vote. One, it's Teuvo, not Tuevo. Second, Ducks fans do not flock to vote in polls on sites about the Minnesota Wild. Flock. Get it? Is this thing on?
We received the fewest votes in the history of our community mock draft, but there were enough to determine that the Ducks are going to go for a big defenseman to shore up their blue line. The fans chose Matthew Dumba for the Ducks, leaving the home town team with a bevvy of other choices to choose from.
Are you ready for this? It's time to pick for your Minnesota Wild.
If you look over at our 2012 NHL Draft page, you will note a section titled "Who Will the Wild Take?" As of this writing, the leader is Morgan Rielly. From reading the comment section for the last few weeks, it is clear that Rielly does not seem to be on the radar of most of you in the Wilderness. It seems to be down to Teuvo Tervainen, Jacob Trouba, and Matthew Dumba.
Two out of three are still available, as is Rielly. It is now up to you to decide if the Wild go for the Finnish tri-fecta, the D-man we have heard about for weeks, the guy the experts seem to be leaning toward, or someone completely unexpected.
Ready for this?
Our draft thus far:
- Edmonton Oilers: Nail Yakupov
- Columbus Blue Jackets: Ryan Murray
- Montreal Canadiens: Alex Galchenyuk
- New York Islanders: Filip Forsberg
- Toronto Maple Leafs: Mikhail Grigorenko
- Anaheim Ducks: Matthew Dumba
