It has come again Wilderness! Game day is here and puck drop is coming fast. The Wild head out east for the first time in two years to take on Thomas Vanek and the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres are coming off of a 2-1 loss on Saturday at the hands of the defending Cup Champs. After trading Jason Pominville, their former captain, to Minnesota at the trade deadline last season, the Sabres also ditched their bench boss in Lindy Ruff and hired former Wild winger Brian Rolston's brother Ron. Ron Rolston and his team have gotten off to a terrible 0-5-1 start.

The Wild come into tonight's game having won two in a row at home and a solid 5-1 win against Dallas on Saturday night as well. The story of the night is the return of Jason Pominville to Buffalo. It will be his first time playing against his former squad in his career, so fans should expect an extra jump in his step and some added emotion from Pominville.

Also, it will be a game that we, as Wild fans, get a chance to view the loves we lost. Johan Larsson and Matt Hackett were the chips in exchange for Pominville at the deadline last season. Those guys are also equally excited to play against Minnesota tonight.

FIVE Questions

1.) Minnesota has dominated all but one game thus far and the game in which they didn't was the game on the road in Nashville. Can the Wild parle their dominating efforts at home on to enemy ice?

2.) The defensemen have been playing lights out in the 2 wins for the season for the Wild. Can Marco Scandella catch up and play on par for what his teammates are doing around him?

3.)The West has owned the East so far this season. Does the trend continue for the Wild tonight?

4.) Every Minnesota fan is looking at the possibility of Vanek signing with Minnesota in free agency. Does the Wild do enough to "WOW" him to get him to consider it?

5.) Can Pominville notch a couple points in his first return to Buffalo since the trade?
