Wilderness Walk 10-21-2013: It's Monday Edition

You're daily procrastination tool to get you through another start to your work week.

So here we are, the start of another work week and in need of some good news for your Minnesota Wild. A little home cooking could help this squad out, lets just hope the special ingredient is goals for the good guys, and lots of them. The Wild welcome Shea Weber, Pekka Rinne and the rest of the Nashville Predators to the X tomorrow night, so I guess you'll have to get through tonight with another Vikings loss or a rousing round of Words with Friends.

On the bright side, the Iowa Wild seem to be rolling right now and if you're a fan of the local college hockey scene the Minnesota Golden Gophers seem to be on top of the world as well. Not to be forgotten, the Gophers Women's Hockey team extended their winning streak this weekend to 55-games with a sweep over the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs.

A lot to be proud for the local hockey scene, here's to hoping the Wild can take a queue from the college kids and their affiliate in Iowa.
